Despite ever so slightly lacking the last degree of attack, it is still a very gutsy performer, feeding the amplifier with a powerful signal, and the low level of digital “glare” adds to its analogue qualities. Having all those selectable inputs, its small size and its ability to play the full current spectrum of sample rates (I would’ve liked LEDs to indicate all sample rates, but that’s a minor quibble) makes this one versatile piece of equipment; it is unobtrusive yet so proficient.
